Intro to Crowdfunding
Thinking about using crowdfunding to raise money for your creative project? Get to grips with how Crowdfunding works, what platforms are available and top tips for planning your campaign. You’ll see examples of different campaigns and be able to share your own ideas. The session includes refreshments and a chance to chat to other creative types.

Intro to Writing Funding Bids
If you’re new to applying for funding or want to develop your bid writing skills then this is for you. A one day course full of practical, relevant ideas and hands on activities to put it in to action. We’ll cover planning your bid, budgeting, jargon busting and what funders are out there, with lots of opportunities for questions and activities to get your bid started. You’ll leave with ideas of how you can find and select the right funder for your project and how to give your applications the best chance.

Intro to Arts Project Management
If you’re starting out in your creative career or want to hone your project management skills, this one day course is designed to give you confidence and tools to effectively plan and deliver your creative project. A packed day which takes you on a whistlestop tour of arts project management with plenty of activities so that you leave ready to start your project. We will cover project planning, marketing, finance, evaluation and more.

Arts Council Project Grants Bootcamp
If you’ve been putting off writing your Arts Council project grant, this is for you. There will be some planning tips on email before hand so you can make the most of the session, friendly advice from the Strike A Light team if needed and tea, coffee and cake to fuel your brain. A quiet space to sit and write, ask for help and celebrate together once you’ve got your draft done!

Starting Your Creative Business
We’ve been supporting Gloucester Culture Trust and SaGE in this bespoke course for creatives to ensure it will suit freelance performers, theatre companies and producers as well as a whole host of other creative businesses. There won’t be any suits or anyone doing a SWOT analysis!
