MARKETING AND EVENTS ASSISTANT: INTERNSHIP

The internship is one of 41 creative job opportunities for interns and apprentices, made possible through the Create Gloucestershire consortium.
6 month contract
30 hours per week to include some evenings and weekends
Salary £5.30 – £6.70 per hour (dependent on age)

If you are looking to begin a career in events, festivals or arts marketing then this is an ideal opportunity.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to gain valuable marketing, events and arts management experience by supporting the delivery of Gloucester Guildhall, Blackfriars and Strike A Light programmes.
This internship will provide invaluable experience in working alongside professional arts marketing and event teams and learning the complexities of promoting and delivering events and festivals.
This will include marketing tasks e.g. writing copy, print distribution, liaising with press, as well as a range of opportunities in event and festival production and supporting areas of festival and venue management.
You will have an interest in arts management, music, theatre, comedy, art, cinema, marketing and/or festivals.
Computer literacy and a working knowledge of social media are important as is a flexible and positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure
This paid internship has been created as part of the Creative Employment Programme, an Arts Council England fund to support the creation of traineeships, formal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities in England for unemployed young people wishing to pursue a career in the arts and cultural sector.
