Strike A Light is a Gloucester based organisation striving to make Gloucester a city with a vibrant culture for all. We want to ensure that young people can access opportunities to participate in cultural activity no matter what their personal circumstance.

Strike A Light is seeking an experienced Lead Youth Theatre practitioner for their young people’s engagement offer in Gloucester. We are looking for practitioners with a real commitment to enabling young people to fulfil their potential. As of January/February 2019 we will be establishing regular Youth Theatre provision as part of our offer (ages 7-11 group & 11-18 group), one evening a week after-school, and wish for the Lead Youth Theatre practitioner to be part of shaping this new inclusive offer for CYP of Gloucester.

Successful applicants will be invited to a stage 1 interview on Tuesday 15 January 2019.

Following Stage 1 Interviews, selected applicants will be invited for a paid trial delivery session, date and time TBC.


This is a freelance post at the following remuneration: £145 fixed fee per evening of delivery – this fixed fee is inclusive of planning time and travel expenses.

The successful person will be responsible for their own tax and national insurance contributions.
