ENDED: Job Opportunity: Lead Youth Theatre Practitioner

Strike A Light is seeking an experienced Lead Youth Theatre practitioner for their young people’s engagement offer in Gloucester. We are looking for practitioners with a real commitment to enabling young people to fulfil their potential.

From May 2019, the Lead Youth Theatre Practitioner will deliver on Wednesday evenings, during term-time, for two groups of young people. We want the young people we engage with to be the driving force behind the development of their Youth Theatre, and wish for the Lead Youth Theatre Practitioner to be part of shaping this inclusive offer.

Delivery happens on a Wednesday evenings (during term-time), 6.00-7.30pm & 7.30-9.00pm

We are also currently recruiting a Youth Arts Producer and would be very keen to hear from candidates who would be interesting in taking on a 3 day per week post combining the Youth Arts Producer role and Youth Theatre delivery. This is a freelance post at the following remuneration: £145 fixed fee per evening of delivery – this fixed fee is inclusive of planning time, meetings and travel expenses.

Interviews: Successful applicants will be invited to an interview on Wed 1 May 2019 and for a paid trial delivery session on Wed 1 May or Wed 8 May 2019.

The successful person will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance contributions and hold their own public liability insurance.
