Jess Thom has Tourettes, a condition that makes her say ‘biscuit’ 16,000 times a day. Her unusual neurology gives her a unique perspective on life; one she’s about to unleash on the world.

This two-woman solo show weaves comedy, puppetry, singing, and incredible tics to explore spontaneity, creativity, disability, and things you never knew would make you laugh. Geranium bashing and penguin gangbangs may or may not feature – no two shows can ever be the same.
Jess is neurologically incapable of staying on script, and that’s where the fun begins

Co-Creators – Jess Thom, Jess Mabel Jones, Matthew Poutney
Produced by Jolie Booth and Matthew Poutney
Supported by Unlimited, Graeae & Battersea Arts Centre

‘Funny , frank, intelligent and enchantingly entertaining’
Stephen Fry

‘Extraordinarily entertaining … Could teach a lot of theatre  lesson or two’
★★★★ The Guardian

‘Makes you look at the world in a different way’
The Independent

Latecomers welcome. All of Touretteshero’s performances are relaxed.
This means you’re welcome to make noise during the show. This adds a whole new dimension, which is why Touretteshero likes to call it ‘Extra Live’.

The BBC hands over the airwaves for an evening of unpredictable and entertaining live theatre, produced by Battersea Arts Centre.

This is the most ambitious evening of live theatre ever attempted by the BBC, bringing live performance back to the old BBC TV HQ for the first time since its closure. Kirsty Wark introduces four 30-minute theatre shorts featuring comedy, dance and drama.
The night features Touretteshero’s Broadcast from Biscuit Land, performed by Jess Thom. She leads us to a surreal and comic musical finale featuring a choir, a brass band and dancing biscuits.
